Many of us have an inner critic that admonishes us to be more productive. My inner critic prioritizes “doing” over “being” and often tells me I haven’t done enough.
I’m actively pushing back against that inner critic and encouraging my life-coaching clients to do the same! One thing I’m doing to push back and build resilience is prioritizing joyful connections.
Yesterday, I did this by attending a farm-to-table dinner and bouquet-making event at Renzinnia Farms with my friends Jen and Tara. We toasted our 10-year “friendiversary,” realizing during dinner that we met on 9/10/2013 during Potomac River Running’s “Running 101” class.

We enjoyed a spectacular and delicious farm-to-table meal prepared by local chef Aven and made bouquets with flowers from the farm. In addition to giving us a master class in making bouquets, farm owner Sangeeta also gifted us homemade soaps using lavender and roses from the farm.
