The Power of a Slight Shift
If you look at the top-right corner of my 2026 Vision Board, you’ll see the image of a kaleidoscope, a symbol I’ve used for a core pillar of my coaching work: Reframing.
In a kaleidoscope, the “bits”—the colorful glass, the beads, the light—don’t actually change. What changes is the turn of the lens. With one tiny, intentional shift, a jumbled mess can suddenly click into a completely different pattern.
Designing Your Perspective
In the architecture of our lives, we often think we need to tear down the whole structure to start over. We think we need a new job, a new city, or a new set of circumstances to find our joy.
But often, the most powerful move is a Pivot. A pivot isn’t a 180-degree turn in the opposite direction; it’s a slight adjustment in your alignment that allows you to see a new path forward. It’s about taking the same “materials” you have right now—your skills, your challenges, your history—and looking at them through a different lens.
The Reframing Practice
For 2026, I am using the Kaleidoscope to remind myself that when I feel “stuck” or overwhelmed, I don’t always need to go back to the drawing board. Sometimes, I just need a new perspective.
- From “I have to” to “I get to.”
- From “This is a setback” to “This is a data point.”
- From “I am stuck” to “I am pausing to pivot.”
This is the mental clarity I mentioned in my first post—the commitment to reframing my stories so I can live at a “Bright” frequency.
Building Your Pivot
I’m curious: If you were to give the lens of your life a tiny “turn” right now, what would change? Is there a situation in your life that feels messy, but might actually be a beautiful pattern waiting to be discovered?
