On Thursday, something extraordinary happened to me. The same Uber driver picked me up twice as I was traveling to various meetings in DC. I had a nice chat with him during the first ride, so it was lovely to see him again.
But we were both struck by the unlikely coincidence. I took a risk and said that the universe must have brought us back together because we were supposed to have a conversation during our first ride that we hadn’t had. He responded in kind, and said I must have a message for him. I suggested that he might also have a message for me.
We talked earnestly about our jobs, families, health, and dreams. He concluded that I had two messages for him:
- Take time for rest
- Health is more important than money
I decided those messages were intended for me, too. And since you are here, and read all the way to the end of my post, perhaps they are messages meant for you, as well.
